People release balloons all the time without permission. However, releasing balloons is very dangerous to wildlife, because eventually your balloons will pop and will just add more trash to our already very polluted planet. I am sure you can think of something else equally meaningful to do at your wedding that is more environmentally friendly.

Zach S is correct. Balloons are dangerous to animals. I heard of a bull dying after eating one but they are especially dangerous to marine life which mistake them for jellyfish and snap them up. The balloons get twisted around their guts and cause a painful and lingering death.

Why not hide notes around your area and see how many are found and how long it takes.

id reccomend phoning your local council to double check this. it could be true espcially if your home is over a flight path or close to an airport. best to ring and double check though through someone who knows instead of what someone said because they may be wrong. congratulations and hope you have a lovely day.

If you are near an airport, contact the manager's office.
