They both have their ups and downs, I like the chain because it can be repaired most of the time if it breaks. But you will probably get many people that like the belt better too. honestly it is more of a personal preferance.

Ask for offers from suppliers and make a comparison - price, maintenance, endurance - and then make your choice.
And I think that the brand also matters - quality issues.

RESIDENTIAL IS USUALLY CHAIN OR SCREW. SCREW IS QUIETER & MORE EXPENSIVE, CHAIN IS CHEAPER.
