No....sometimes people get offended when faced with the truth. What's the first think they went out and did? Get violent. Seems they proved his point.

bygone is bygone.
Let's not burn ashes.

However, Even if it were not his own words.
Even if to an extent it is true.
I personally think it is not befitting for a spritual leader of one religion quote demeaning words for the leader of other religion.
I can understand his motive to bring peace by condemning violence but the reference was miscalculated.

And then yes, the Muslims should learn to forgive and forget also.
Actually this was their great opportunity to show that the really want peace.

The modern human population is trying to find harmony and peace and exploring all the means to find a agreement so that our future generations enjoy a more peaceful world.

let there be peace in this world.

apparently. is it conceivable to/by you that the speech containing the material at issue was the product not of his mind, solely, but of consensus consideration of a group of individuals who knew exactly what hoped for response it would bring? and it did bring that response. keeping "the peasants" in all areas of the planet as angry and confused and afraid as possible for as long as possible, is a major agenda item of the "cabal" that "owns" the planet. the catholic church is most certainly an important member of that august body. and, of course, its own personal counter-reformation fantasy is in no way undermined by that state for the populace, either. ;-) divide and conquer, as the cliche' goes, is always a valid strategy, eh? ;-)
