I had a friend from up north tell me she was annoyed by Texas pride. When she said that I thought about it and realized many Texans do have a lot of pride in their state. People drive Texas edition trucks, you can find Texas merchandise everywere, of course there's the Houston Texans (football team), etc. Not to mention, we identify ourselves as Texans (talk to any Texan and you'll see what I mean). But then someone told me no other state but Texas does that. So I 'm curious, do other states display state pride or not?

If they don't they should. As a Texan I can't see why you wouldn't. Then again Texas is superior so maybe that's why.

You Texans seem to have more pride in your state than most others. Speaking for myself, I like my state (Missouri) ok, but it's hard to have tremendous pride in your state when the state legislature screws you at every turn (taxes, regulations, unions, etc.) Your state is on my list of possibilities for when I eventually sell my business... And by the way- so what if everyone else is annoyed- they don't have to go to Texas if they don't want to!

Yeah, you know what? I'm proud of the street I live on. My street is great and I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't live on it, they're inferior. I'm thinking about starting up a street government, campaigning for independence. Then again, it might be eaisier to just kill everyone who doesn't live on my street then make the whole world just like my street. That would be perfect eh?
The more divisions we can create between people the better.

no i don't think so, i don't know why she's annoyed, you should be proud of where you come from, thats like how foriegners don't like us because Americans think this is one of the greatest countries and we are proud to be from here, we can think that if we want, tell her to piss off if she doesn't like it!
