A vehicle when manufactured is an assembly of many components. It is wear and tear of working and stationery parts, rough handling, bad maintenance, changes from designed settings of engine, other working parts, body, internals, accessories, that make a car old and loose efficiency. You can make it as good as new, depending on what would be the additional cost over the purchased price and you judge whether its worth it.
My advice would be to get an assessment made by a Mahindra Service Centre representative and get an estimate for getting a fairly good job done (from the details of the offer delete what you think you can ignore) and add to the transfer cost.
You might still find buying a used Scorpio economical, or any vehicle for that matter.

To you as a motive force, there will be very few important variations. A diesel engine creates super volume of torque. Torque is what you experience once you quite advance up rapid, that stress that pushes you back interior the seat. additionally a diesel engine works lots slower then petrol does. If the transmission interior the diesel you got is a handbook, you will see the Tachometer or RPM gauge does not pass severe in any respect many times tops out around 4000 rpm. So shifting could be finished quicker. yet while to procure an computerized transmission, no concerns because it shifts for you. different then that, there truly isn't any difference or extra precautions interior the way the two autos could stress, or shelter. Its constantly a competent concept to pass away a diesel heat up for a minute formerly using.

How many miles, and how well was the engine maintained? Start it up and drive it. If it runs good, take a look at the engine. Do you see a lot of new parts. If so it may have had a recent problem that the owner is trying to cover up. Do you trust the seller? Answer those questions, and see if the price is still comfortable for you. Diesels run forever if they are taken care of, and you can't really hurt them like you can a gas engine!
