In the fuel tank.
Why are you "fixing" it? Have you checked the fuse and the relay?

If the pump in indeed inoperative, the tank must come out to service the pump.

A NOTE------->
The pump is in the tank for a variety of reasons, but as a practical matter to you, it is there to help keep it cool.
As the pump runs, it generates heat. That heat is normally dissipated by the fuel surrounding the pump assembly. If you make it a practice to drive with < 1/4 tank of fuel most of the TIME (not mileage), the pump cannot dissipate the heat, because there isn't enough fuel present to absorb that heat. As a result, the pump will fail prematurely, and it must be replaced.
As a rule, try always to keep at least 1/3 tank of fuel, and then refill.

Good Luck
