My husband told me it is not possible to contact someone and possibly start a "friendship" or relationship through Yahoo Answers yet I've seen many people post their website addressess and contact information.
HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE MET OR CONTACTED FURTHER SOMEONE YOU ANSWERED A QUESTION TO ON YAHOO ANSWERS? or HOW MANY WERE OFFERED THE CHANCE TO MEET SOMEONE HERE?

Your hubby is lying; it's quite possible to meet someone through Yahoo Answers - I'm IMing soneone at this very moment who I contacted through their posted answer.
You can click on someone's handle and either email them or IM them through Yahoo, depending on what options they allow.
You have some busting to do ;-)

Pamela, this is totally lost again. I have made some friends on here, yes. But I do not give out my web address or any personal information. They don't know where I live, what I look like or anything. If you want to contact me, you have to go through yahoo answers. They send me a message, if I want to reply I can. If I don't want to and don't them to know about me, they wouldn't know how to contact me. I have some friends that I have made that I have given them my email address.
I have only had positive results and positive reaction from people. I am sure you could get into a lot of trouble here if you were looking for it, but 90% of it is just people seeking help. Some of it's pretty silly, but yes, it's marriages, families in trouble looking for hope. I have gotten so many message, through yahoo, thanking me, that I will continue to be on here as long as I feel that I can at least help someone. Women beening beaten, men who's wives are cheating on him, kids who are mistreated, grief stricken widows and widowers. Sometimes all they need to know is that they aren't alone. Is that wrong?
Honey, some of the people on here give out all their personal information, it's not required or neccessary. Please believe your husband!

I met someone on answers. we have continued to talk and are becoming friends. i don't know where it might go if anywhere... distance of course is a consideration. But so far so good. And it's amazing how much we have in common.
Things that I find amazing...
She is smart, funny and beautiful, and is even interested in having children. My perfect match. Perhaps the distance won't be such a big factor, come to think of it.

It is impossible to start a relationship in "Answers". You probably would have to chat in the chat rooms to meet someone. But it is not impossible to meet others here, but not likely. Most of us are anonymous and will never meet in real life. Don't worry about your husband. He isnt cheating on you. Relax.

It is quite possible to make new friebds here. You have to decide what it is you are looking for and proceed.

Yeah it is possible, bout most people here are only here cause they have nothing better to do. Not to make friends, or chat to other people. Its like reading a magazine.. Reading about all the sh*t other poeple complain about...

i have met a few really great people through Answers, it's a great way to learn more about them too by seeing answers that they have given & questions they have asked

You could but I think if you really wanted to meet someone you would go to myspace. That way you can se pictures and make sure they aren't freaky. although they still could be.

I had answered a question that someone posted and he wrote back to say thanks... still in contact with him online.... so yes it can happen... people can meet people on yahoo answers...

of course it is possible if people want to give their info out. But who exactly are you tyring to meet if you are married?
