In summary, there are a lot of lessons in this story about a warrior and princess' love affair in medieval times. For example,Tristan and Isolde are simple model for us to acheive the fact that not everything we wish for come true these lovers all they wished for is to live happily ever after but did they ?.
Also, the fact there is no happiness could be reached since it was built over other happiness. although they couldn't stand to be apart they felt guilt when they practice their love while she belonged to Marke who was like a father to tristan and great husband who did his best to make happy. however, he wasn't tristan the man she loved so when every one about their love affair Marke was kind enough to let them go and live in another town but the Irish prince was already planning on taking england and he accused marke on mistreating his daughter who didn't care about so marke was preparing his army to fight and Tristan and isolde were supposed to leave togther but Tristan when he had to choice whether to go with his love of his love or fight with man who was nothing just a good father to him and fight for his country, his people freedom he knew deep inside his heart the fact that he'd never be happy with her over while the people who lived with share their pain are suffering under the Irish control so he had to let her go and fight with them until the last breathe of his life in the battle what unfortunate event but he lived as hero and died like one .

Yeah

Tristan of Lyonesse is a cool dude - knight in shining armour and all that, nephew of King Mark of Cornwall

Isolde is the daughter of the ruler of Ireland

Tristan kills Isolde's uncle but is wounded and ?poisoned and can only be healed by Isolde or her mother or some such.

He goes to Ireland and in disguise and is healed.

He then tells King Mark about Isolde and King Mark wants to marry her so Tristan goes to Ireland to fetch Isolde for King Mark.

Isolde's mother puts a love potion on board with the servant girl so that Isolde can fall in love with King Mark, but Tristan and Isolde drink it and fall in love with each other.

There is much heart breaking.
