One pitcher, one position player....

My answer is Jose Reyes and Billy Wagner, I also predict Jose Reyes will be World Series MVP

So a Card fan gives me a thumbs down for my question because I am rooting for my team's guys? Albert is an awesome hitter, Carpenter is a pretty good pitcher, but he is far from the best pitcher remaining. Dan Harren, Billy Wagner, Houston Street, Aaron Heilman, the Zamunga (sic) set-up man for the Tigers are all better. This question was built for being a "homer" answer forum, but Carpenter takes it too far.

Becca, the guy below you gave me the thumbs down, I didn't mean to offend you. The great thing about sports opinion is when the numbers are close, the argument can go on forever, if respectful.

I have to echo what the first guy said. Carpenter and Pujols. Too bad the rest of the team isn't too great, I don't know if they'll make it to the world series or not.

Edit: I did not give you a thumbs down, for the record! However, I respectfully disagree with your assessment of the pitching, at least with some of them because I don't know all of those pitchers

Edit again: Carpenter is way better than Harren!!! although, Harren is good. I would like him back.

Edit again: no way I could be offended! I like your questions :)

Chris Carpenter and Albert Pujols. Carpenter will likely win the Cy Young Award again this year, and Pujols will be World Series MVP.

Go Cards!!!

Pujols of the Cards. He's the best hitter in the game today.

Beltran of the Mets. Probably the best five tool player today.

Watch out for Joel Zumaya (102 mph fastball with movement) and Todd Jones (control and effectiveness as a closer).
