Gilgamesh, Thought to have been written sometime around the 7th century BC.
It was written of clay tablets, not on paper.

This source page pretty much shows all the documents of different religions and includes gilgamesh. If you are looking for a true book, I would say I-ching is probably the first true book. If you are talking tablets or chronological documents grouped together, it could be either the pyramid texts or the I-ching. You have to decide on your own though.

Depends on your definition of "book"
The earliest novel is the Tale of Genji by Murasaki. There are religious and legal documents that predate this.

theres this book that was written year 800 and something, i forgot the name. it was written by monks and had a jewel encrusted cover.it was the most beautiful book.
check on encyclopedia or something. i found out in the book called 1000 amazing facts.

The Epic of Gilgamesh is the eldest works of literature ever written--written in Mesopotamia. It also is an amazing read!!
