I've never been in the situation to trust a Nigerian, so I wouldn't know. I suppose they're just like English people, some honest and some not.

This is a really bad question.

I would rather trust someone and be let down, rather than go through life not trusting ANYONE.

However neither would I trust anyone enough to give them my bank details. ESPECIALLY a Nigerian. Call me old fashioned!!

To be honest with you yes, I lived in Nigeria when I was a teenager, and we had Nigerian servants and Drivers, my Driver I would trust with my life, and I saw that first hand, we were driving along a road when we were pulled up by Bandits, they had guns and knifes, Victor my Driver knew exactly what these men were and instantly pulled out a huge knife from the side of his seat, and was ready for them, Victor got us out of that situation, and for that I will be eternally grateful, I loved the Nigerians they were lovely people, just because there a few bad one's does not make them all bad, I will never speak bad of them. I might not of been here to tell this story had it not of been for Victor.

Not on the Internet. Never on the Internet. They are infamous for their scams. There are no anti scam laws enforced in Nigeria, so it is rampant. I would not not not not not trust one on the Internet. They may even say they are American/English etc..but eventually they will have to "travel" to Nigeria. Then, they will ask you to cash a check or money order etc. That is just one of their scams. I had a friend fall for this. The bank even verified the check. She sent them money (they told her to keep some for herself too). After she sent the money the put a stop payment on the check. She had paid her rent with part of the money. She has since lost her place to live, and owes the bank the thousands that she sent them. I am hoping she doesn't end up in jail since she has no way to pay back, but she probably will.

It is not worth it.

I don't know any Nigerian people. But I would surely trust them until they proved themselves untrustworthy - which I trust would never happen!

You see, there's a lot of trust involved on both sides!

About the same as anyone else from anywhere else.
Unless he or she is emailing you with some get rich quick banking scheme! Then don't trust them, whatever they say.
Why do all email banking scams come from Nigeria? You would think that they would have the sense to use an email account from a server in Switzerland or Hong Kong!

of course not, no more than you can trust God, your mom and dad.

a culture can not be the basis to trust someone

why are you concerned

should you hate all white people because of the recent crimes on our children

the Amish children's family shows us what true love and trust is

dislike a person's behavior not there race

research factual information on Nigeria you may find the people there have a lot in common with you

There are honest Nigerians and there are dishonest Nigerians, just as there are honest and dishonest English, Americans, Swedish, Malaysians etc etc! It's a dumb question, why bother asking?

In general yes, but not if you receive an e-mail claiming to give you a cut of 20 million dollars that they want to transfer to a different bank account.
