true friends are the ones that are always there for you no matter what, they are the ones whose friendship is unconditional, and you can fight with them and its o.k. they can fight with you and thats o.k too you don't always have to see eye to eye but you are always there for each other. that is a true friend not just for the good times but for the bad times as well.

No, loyalty can make your relationship longer.
Loyalty and Trust, without those two things in your life as a friend you will always have nothing. Making the right decisions and also helping a friend out is also anothing step you need to take to be a good friend and make your friendship relationships last longer.

Display good behavior, good hygene, intelligency *not saying be a nerd*, and set a good example.

These are all things you need to keep a relationship lasting
with the addition of trust.

Hope this helps!

Yes at least I think so. take a person that you can trust. Now take another person that you can't. If you were gonna have one of them for a friend which one would you pick? The one you can trust pf course. =) and you have to be loyal to them for them to be loyal to you too.
