I have a shrub in my garden. It has evergreen-like leaves and rather large, round, red berries.

I would really like to know what species this is. Any help would be appreciated.

I do believe it is a yew, of the "Canadian" species. The berries are in fact poisonous to humans but birds eat them with no harmful side effects. Thanks so much for your help.

as quickly as we lived in tn we had something like that. They noted because it poke... in line with risk polk flora and made salads from it. i do no longer think of you're meant to consume the berries... yet they do stain clothing a tremendously purplish blue. I entered a link to wiki so which you are going to see if it incredibly is it. The leaves appeared redder yet those are certainly the berries. playstation - whilst they are first becoming, they has pink branches without leaves.
