I once asked the new girl in the office if she wanted her tea black or white and my boss called me in and told me off! This was in 1994 and me and this girl have been best mates ever since - she is black and I am white - we were in the army at the time and it was my sergeant major who did this... now I ALWAYS said "black or white" when making tea or coffee for new people - but it was ONLY this occasion I got dragged in over it.
I told her - she complained to him that he was being racist - or politically incorrect by telling me off just that one time!
Hysterical.
I think I am totally non PC anyway - but I think it is how it is delivered and if it is vindictive or just humour.
I wish these PC do-gooders would get a life... I don't care if people joke all the time!

Being politically incorrect covers a lot of ground as all new sayings it is misinterpreted and used in almost all forums and abused by not understanding what it means but because they like the way the term sounds they try it out as often as they can.
When you say something that offends someone and they point it out to you, you should always "take your foot out of your mouth" and apologize. You don't have to justify what you believe to be true, but have to consider that other people have feelings too, and apologize only if you know and feel sorry for your action otherwise you would only by hypocritical about your justification and so on.

Sometimes the search for truth borders into unpopular areas. I try not to generalize, but when I talk about my hate for rap music and hip hop culture (because I do not believe that we should make gangster life so popular) I have been accused of being racist.
Generalizations are dangerious but they do come from somewhere also. I have been called a terrorist because I don't agree with Iraq (My best friend is in the military and I don't want to lose him, I doubt any politician would die for this cause, Im upset they expect others to). I don't worry about being incorrect. I just try not to judge individuals or resort to bigotry and hate.

Yeah, I have, but you know what, life's too short to worry about it. I'm 36 years old and have learned that there are too many humourless idiots out there who jump down your throat for the slightest thing. I am not racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic or any of that nasty stuff, but I have a kinda sick sense of humour that some would consider "politically incorrect." Of course I would never tell a joke to offend anyone or hurt someone's feelings on purpose, but if the time/place is correct then I like to let rip with a sick joke or two. So sue me!

I am a foster carer for children that have been traumatised, being politically correct with regards to these children would condem them to a life appart from the rest of society. This correctness only exists in yuppy land in the world where the rest of us live reality and being a decent human being is far more important

i'm accused of being politically incorrect ALL the time! actually, i was politically incorrect before there was even a fancy term to describe it---i guess before i was PC i was "crass".
how do i justify my politically incorrect comments? I just grin at the people who are offended, extend my index finger to them and say "Hey, no hard feelings, eh? Pull my finger!"

all the time. usually i just blow it off, but if its a subject i'm passionate about i argue my head off and debate until i'm blue. it usually doesn't help much because the people who call my politically incorrect are close-minded conservatives.
btw i've been told i would argue with a chinese signpost, whatever that is supposed to mean.

Yes, In Middle School. If you argue your point fairly and back it up with facts, there shouldnt be a problem, unless it gets into judicial cases and things.

I once asked for a black coffee and got told that was not PC, it should be coffee with or without milk now. I just laughed and told her to bugger off! (I think she was joking though, I hope...)
