I answered a KKK question 5 months ago... the link: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ai2pmii_vbLrt2lyl6L.eZfsy6IX?qid=1006051415344
to this day, people r still voting on the answer & occasionally leaving a comment.

I know that people are still furious with the KKK concept, boy does it get hearts racing!
It's terrible to think of those who suffered when KKK was at its peak... but to think that there are still many believers that this should continue is extremely disturbing
I thought society had moved on, but it's only taken a few baby steps. Tragic!

And on another note, back in those days, it was certain Christian groups that wanted to rule out the (hate saying this word) blacks, BUT what I noted in the comments was that GOD created all... Why are we criticising his work?

Nevertheless, I know we will never forget those awful times, (& we shouldn't have to) yet my question to you is, do you think we will move on eventually finding a +ive balance between society

It's so hard to fill thoughts into 1000 words, so I will elaborate:

I'm concerned over the continuous hatred, and how it stems from afar...

Cultures will always clash...

BUT can't the majority be above and beyond that?

I'm sure most are, well actually, I'm hoping they are!

From what I see in my daily life, things have reversed. Where I live, black on white hate crimes are the number one crimes. There were 5 murders last year (in a town of 8,000) 4 were black men who killed white men, one was a black man who killed his wife. You have to go back about 20 years to find a murder committed by a white, and it was a white woman who killed a white man. The Christians, both black and white, decry these incidents, and are working together to try to find a positive way to bring the black and white communities together. My own church, with 280 white members and 2 black members, and our sister church, with 170 black members and no white members, host events several times a year to try and bring the races together. Some of the same people who attend these events turn around the next day and stab someone. Crime in our high school is horrible, with 4 gangs represented, and only about 10 of the kids involved are white. It's crazy.

God did create us all in His image. The sooner EVERYONE wakes up to that, the better off we'll be! I see so many blacks who buy into the hate preached by some of their leaders, about how "whitey" is responsible for everything bad that happens. Then they turn around and take revenge! Well, guess what, none of us were alive when slavery was around. It's not the fault of the people around you. Everyone is responsible for their own present and future! If you're poor, work harder! Most of us whites are poor too! Bill Cosby was so right on a lot of the things he said, and most of it applies equally to the whites! Some of the brightest and most talented kids I know are black, and they take so much crap from their peers. Quit it! Let them excell! Try it yourselves!

We are all individually and as a community responsible for our actions, our thoughts, and our futures.

Yes and no.

Interracial dating and marriage will produce a new race but Homosapiens will just find something else to hate in other people. It has gone on for all eternity. It is part of our evolution. You are starting to see it in politics more and more. The polarization between Republicans and Democrats is the worst this country has seen.

To answer your question my answer would be NO. As much as we would like for it to be a balance I don't think it will ever be. People are taught to hate, and as long as they can continue to teach generations after generations then this thing will always continue.

As long as their are anti-white black groups still talking about black power and Louisiana still wanting a 'chocolate' New Orleans, then racism will never go away.
