When I first met Polly and Ester I could see right through them both! lol

There are different thicknesses depending on what type of material is used. Generally, I find polyester too warm especially in summer. Even the polyester shorts are quite warm (to me).
Chances are, if these are gym type shorts you're planning to get, they won't be see through.

generally light colored clothes I've found have a tendancy to be slightly see through if you get close enough especially when wet. It all depends on the weave; if it's woven closely then it may not be as noticable if the weaver were slightly looser. That's what I think. My bet is that they can be see through in right conditions. My opinion so look it up perhaps on the nature of polyester clothing.

Polyester CAN be see through, if the material is low grade or thin. Those shorts are higher quality than most, and you should be fine, as long as you have white underwear on. It's not like they are spandex, so I say go for it!
