SACRED. Marriage is for two people who can't imagine life without each other. Who don't want anyone but their partner. Two people who will stay by each other NO MATTER WHAT life throws at them. In this day and age - people give up too easily ("there's always divorce") ... instead of sticking it out. Marriage (to me) is the elderly couple who have been married 50 some-odd years and still as in love with each other as the day the met. It's about being able to rely on your partner, trust, friendship and communication.

For males, marriage is a cake for which they feel sorry either way, after eating it or without eating it. But that is a joke.
Marriage in the true sense is applicable to union of two persons of opposite sexes to live together, till death parts them, with mutual respects and adjustments with the purpose of bearing offspring and passing on their qualities and achievements to the next generation by remaining in love, happiness and faithfulness with each other.
