We have an avacado tree on our property that power and cable lines running through the tree branches(to 2 houses) and the rats crawl on the power lines and into the avocado tree and eat the avacados. We have tried pruning the tree, taking off as many avacados as possible and still have the rats coming into the tree.

Take the avacado seed and poke toothpicks interior the part around the middle of the seed. Prop the toothpicks on the exterior rim of a tumbler basically so as that the fewer than a million/2 of the seed is interior the water. you do no longer choose the completed component submerged. place in window or the place there is filtered photograph voltaic. provide it some weeks and you will start to work out the seed splitting and sprouting. while it starts off to get some roots you may plant in potting soil. shop moist. basically so which you already know the plant gets kinda gruesome....and unusual finding...yet perhaps you have got extra suitable success than I did!! have relaxing!

Try spiking some of the avocados with Rat poison.

Make sure to mark the ones you spike in some obvious way!

you can also try to mount barriers on the power poles, but you might have to talk with your local utility company first.

Sounds like you may need to poison them. Luckily or not, we only have monkeys in our tree.
