Ghost in the Machine is the kind of movie in which a curling iron, a garbage disposal and a dishwasher become potential murder weapons. The explanation will thrill technophobes: a serial killer dies during a lightning storm and his soul seeps from the hospital's X-ray scanner into a mainframe computer. From there he roams through Ohio's electrical system, ejecting videos from VCR's at will and terrorizing Terry Munroe (Karen Allen) and her 13-year-old son, Josh (Wil Horneff).

As mentioned, Maximum Overdrive with a young Emilio Estevez is a good one. About 20 years old and very cheesy. It is directed by Stephen King and based on his own story called "Trucks". It also has a cool soundtrack, made up entirely of AC/DC songs.
There was also a more recent movie adaptation of the story, called "Trucks" but I haven't seen it so I can't vouch for it.

Like someone mentioned before me, The Final Destination Movies have a lot of dealths by household/everyday appliances. There was this movie that i dont remeber the name of it but this girl was in the shower and it leaked a little on her floor where her hair blower thing was(sorry Im drawing a blank of what its called lol its early here) and it was turned on so when she stepped out she got electricuted(sp?) and died. Yep...Not that cheesy...very possible of really happening.

There was an 80's (or early 90's) film called Runaway with Tom Selleck. That had lots of little domestic robots and appliances that went crazy.

I don't know the title, but there was this one film where the house became sentient and everything was electronically controlled. The mom was boiled in the pool and the father was frozen in the freezer or something like that. Eventually the house burned down. the house wanted to live peacefully with the child of the family. I don't know the title but it was quite cheezy.

the final destination series sepecially one - most ppl get killed by 'death' and slip on a wet floor and get strangled by a shower curtain, one woman gets killed by a leaky mug which explodes her computer, glass gets stuck in her neck she pulls a cloth with knives on her then the house explodes! lol
