I plan on going into advertising after I finish college. Yet I want to know if that's the best choice for my major. I want something where I can travel and make enough income to be atleast higher middle class.

If you go into advertising with a graphic design degree, you could end up being promoted to art director (responsible for overall "look" of ads) or even creative director (oversees entire creative department). Once you get up there, you'll be making some pretty good money.

Your talent and skill will determine how well you will do. But be warned the market is flooded. And many entry level graphic design jobs don't pay more then $10.00 per hour. Most high paying jobs are on the East and West coast in the big cities like LA or New York.
