If you own a TV & watch it then buy a licence. If you object that much get rid of the telly & use the money saved to buy a gym membership, they usually have tv screens there, so 2 birds with 1 stone, watch telly for free & get fit, thus saving you from becoming a couch potato. Only draw back limited choice.

Just sell the TV if you don't think anything the BBC makes is worth paying for. I gladly pay the licence fee as I can't stand advertisement breaks in the middle of shows - I don't watch any channels that show adverts.

You can never get rid of them for good - they are ridiculously persistant. Best thing to do is to have no contact with them at all. Do not answer the door to them and do not reply to any letters. Just throw the letters in the bin. They have no powers to do anything to you, don't give in to them!

I have this problem. Keep a folder of all the letters in case you need to take legal action for harassment
