I have several folders on my desktop. Quite surprisingly from today itself, I am facing a peculiar and unique problem. There are several files in the folder and now every folders automatically contains within it a folder of its own name and when I double click it, it shows me the files present in My Documents.
Have you ever encountered such a situation in the past? Please help.

Two possibilities. First, user error. You can do some pretty amazing things sometimes if the palm of your hand is holding down the control key as you type. Or you could have been trying to change your profile, do folder redirection, or any of several things that affect your "my documents" folder.
Second, Windows is not a completely stable system. It works "well", but not perfectly. Sounds like it hiccupped.

Perhaps ur PC been infected with a virus .. have a virus scan

um.. no I can't say I have... Maybe you could rename your folders or try deleting the shortcuts from ur desktop???
