Hello. - In my opinion - Yes. The movie scared me so very well.. I have not seen a Horror Film in awhile.

I didnt find it frightening the ring 2 was a bit more but not really frightening either.

The original Korean and the Japanese remake are magnificent. They are very tense, and pretty frightening. Ring 2 & Ring 0 are also excellent. Dark Water is another similarly good horror.
Unfortunately, the US remakes are very poor.

I thought it was frightening because it is more of a mentally scary movie - not violence, blood and guts kind of scary. It has a good plot, suspense and the music is very eery as well. To me that makes a frightening movie.

NOOOOOOooooo it ain't. I kinda like that movie... the storyline i guess was kinda good... but its not scary i mean at some parts of the movie you may jump a little just cuz you may not of expected for something to happen.. but i have seen way scarier movies then The Ring. now the Ring two! im sorry but that movie i was wanting it to be scarier then the first one but nope it wasn't really i kinda laughed thru The Ring two cuz things were like so predictable almost.... if you're gonna watch one you have to see the other too. finish the story! lol. I saw the original japanese film, ringu and it was extremely creepy. Not terrifying, but unsettleingly creepy. For me that's far worse.
