Let me put it this way:
If you copy your essay directly off of a source on the Net, and you don't put in any original thought or effort into what you turn in...
THAT IS NOT BEING HONEST!!!
And if you do that, then you will be contradicting the very message of your essay, which is that honesty is the best policy.
Ironic, huh?

Let’s close our eyes for a moment and ask our selves how honest we have been all these years or we could also count the number of times we have fooled people. I know friends it’s difficult to be honest all the time. Lies are something that comes so easily, sometimes even before we actually realize it, yet we can never over look the fact that honesty is the best policy.

A real life story would have been an appropriate answer to your question. A friend of mine had narrated this story on the other day when both of us touched upon the same topic. He was actually a witness to a budding love happened between a two neighbourhood teenagers. He cautioned them not to venture into the romance as they were first too young to know what is love in their early teens and second both the teenagers were from an orthodoxy family but of different religions. His call to end the affair had gone into deaf ears as the teens had absolutely no regard to his advice. He even gone to an extent of threatening them with telling the whole issue to their respective parents. Still no avail. As days gone by the romance between the two was so intense that no one could stop them what they were up to. My friend kept discouraging them at regular intervals but of no avail. The whole episode one day culminated into an anti climax when the two of them eloped. Police were called and in the investigation they had found my friend was of help to the teens' escape. Both the parents of the teens put the blame squarely on my friend as he was the one to help them run away. Having got no clue as to the whereabouts of the young pairs yet the police are still keeping my friend in their custody until further orders. Honesty is (sometimes) the best policy. Honestly I cant write a two-page one. But it would help you.

In your essay, answer the questions what is honesty and why would it or would it not be the best policy in any or certain situation? Make lists and go from there.
