its a motorolla v3 it was contracted but i have an updated phone and want to sell this one, might get more for it if it's sim free !

You may want to reask the question, if you have a Nokia, then you may have good luck, otherwise you will need to send it to people like the link below to get it unlocked.

You can also call the provider and ask them. Depending on how long you have had service, and the reason (travelling internationally and trying to use a prepaid sim) they may unlock it as well.
