what would you do if you discover that your friend supports those who talk against you?

recently i found out that my close friend was laughing and supporting those who believed that i am stupid.. he has started behaving as if he is great. he is ignoring him for no reason. he just wants to be with those 'new' group of people who are similar to his innate character- laughing at others., thinking he is great, those who consider they r cool and others are not.

i think the trouble started when i started calling those who waste time and not study are fools. we r in medical school and i beleive my friend dies not have the attitude to be a doctor. but the problem is, i am unable to cope with his new behavior as we were friends for almost 6 years and then this happened...

your suggestions are valuable for me to cope with this new situation where i am always thinking about that and unable to do anything else at all!

i hope you can help.... :-)

Well First of all, Medical school I'm sure is hard enough without you having to worry about what other people think of you. "Wasted energy" Then you have a so called friend that is apparently a follower. I think some one in that group is jealous of your brain, don't sweat it honey, stay a leader, they will soon follow you.

You need to really understand the meaning of the word "friend".

He is not your friend and because you question his attitude about being a doctor...you are not his friend.

Go to medical school and study hard to be a doctor without your so-called "friend".

While you're there you both need to do some growing up.

You sound pretty intelligent to me. Cut your losses right now. It will hurt for a while as you thought this person was a friend. A sincere person does not talk against a friend. Thank God that you found out in time about this person. "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31 Let your so-called friend laugh his butt off. You are already in fine shape. Know this, "The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation." Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace and God Bless.

You can't control someone else's behavior, so all you can do is find new friends. Maybe after med school when the pressures off he'll be his old self again.

Find new friends. A real friend does not act like this. End of story.

Find a new friend. With friends like this you don't need enemies, as you already have them.

Reclassify them as someone you know and not a friend. Then move on.
