May I offer an opposing view?
This forum has turned from valuable tool to playground because 1) few questions of value get asked, and 2) most answers are one liners.
I am guilty as anybody. I spoof and mock questions if I smell something silly or sanctimonious about them. But when someone asks a technically finite question about how to accomplish a task, or asks for emotional honesty, about someone's intimate experience with a situation, I try to help. And it's in these areas that this place just does not live up to it's potential.
I think that's a pity. There are 3,000,000,000,000,000 places on the net to play and kid. Why not have one serious site that helps people do something other than let off steam or practice their comedy?

There is a time for both serious and funny. I think most people enjoy both. Perhaps you should visit some other sites.
I still think Yahoo should work on separating adults from children.I am 60 years old and don't want to play with children and their petty problems or what they think is cute. And I am also sure they don't enjoy me either. That's OK, we are not supposed to.
The kids will love your "fight the establishment". That should get them wound up........

Well, I answer the questions that I think I know the answer to, and the ones I have an opinion for, irregardless of whether they are serious or not. I think the variety of questions, keep Yahoo Answers interesting.
I hope I understand your question.

Stick around long enough and you'll see more. I like both but the entertaining ones are way cool.

I think a littel of both is good, you can choose what you want depending on the mood you are in.
