Really want to know....
...It's probably the PSP...hear me out on this one, it's the best thing to get for you money, I was in this exact situation just a couple of months ago...this is why you should get a psp:
"Sony just announced a $50 price drop in the PSP (Play Station Portable) to a price of $200. After adding a little bit of storage, the PSP seems to be a superior alternative to the Video iPod from Apple which is ironic since the PSP is actually older than the iPod.
With a gorgeous wide 16:9 aspect ratio screen at 480 x 272 pixels, the PSP dwarfs the 320 x 240 on the Video iPod. This means movies no longer need to be cropped at the sides to accommodate the iPod’s lower resolution 4:3 screen.
Even more significantly, the PSP has Wi-Fi capability whereas the iPod does not. This means that audio content could easily be wirelessly streamed to the PSP with the video residing on a centralized home storage appliance potentially carrying terabytes of data."
Also as said before, It has INTERNET where as the Ipod does not, and It plays MUSIC, Video, and games, also;
HOMEBREW: For me this was the clincher
There are too many homebrew aps for PSP for me to list...so you'll have to search for them yourself....
I just gave you the reasons why you should get a psp, but ultimately the choice is yours...

Still digging my new Sansa e260, 4gb. Much different than the Ipod, and i think better. Plays video, i think they're going around $150 now for the 4gb, 6gb should be a little under $200. There's also a new 8gb version that i think just came out.

it all depends on the space for music you want and the price you're willing to pay for that amount of space, just don't buy and iPod or you'll end up paying extra just for the "Apple iPod" name

an ipod nano. one of the colored ones. $200 bucks. great price. buy it from apple be cause you get the universal dock with it that you don't get any where else. check it out at this site.
