Happened to the guy ahead of me on a bridge. The hood just folded right back over the windshield. Get some bailing wite.

i would say that it is probably possible but unlikely at low speeds. on the freeway, having the hood only attached to the secondary latch would make driving at high speeds more dangerous. i would suggest tieing your hood down with some zip ties or maybe a padlock untill you can get it looked at by a professional.

That is why it has the secondary latch as a safety feature. Irrespective how old the car is the bonnet will not fly open if the secondary latch is working!

Yes at higher speed only, then it will flip up and over or possibly through the windshield.
