I have several pimples on my forehead and some on my chin and like 2 or 3 on my lower cheeks, but I'm not sure if I should keep wearing makeup because I use it everyday and I really want to get rid of these pimples quick, so should I stop using makeup while my pimples heal? I wash my face twice a day with an antibacterial soap but I am scared that it will dry my face and after washing my face I put on a honey mask for 30 min, am I doing the right thing? I was using Clinique's 3 step system but it only made my face worse so what should I use now? and I also use clinique's oil free foundation, should I keep using it or should I change my product??

I used to use Clinique's products, and had a horrible time with them...similar to your situation. I switched to Lancome and haven't had a problem since. It takes a bit for your skin to get cleared up, but don't skimp on the products or your cleansing routine. Yes you can wear makeup with sensitive or problem skin, just make sure it isn't oil based and is non-comedogenic or won't clog your pores. Take care!

sometimes it gets worse before it gets bettter, cuz the products are working by eliminating the skin blemishes that you can't see that are under the surface..... you probably should have continued with the clinique.
a HUGE NO to the antibacterial soap... that is for your body--- and an even BIGGER NO to the mask for 30 min everyday!!! NO NO NO
get back on the clinique system or find another system that works for you, like the proactive, or anything, and use the mask once a week for exfoliation.
just stick with it for a few weeks or more before you decide that it isn't working for you.

as far as your question---- everyone should use makeup. everyone can benefit from makeup. if you aren't able to use foundation, get a face cream with spf, or find a tinted moisturizer to use as your protection, and then use your color cosmetics.

Have you tried Pro Active Solutions? Works like a charm. I only get one or two when I am stressed, so I tried Pro Active and I love it. It can get pricey as it automatically sends you a new order every so many weeks (you can pick how long until they send your next order...10 weeks or 20 weeks for example). You can get an exfoliating creme and a toner and a lotion, for example. I like it anyway. There are things like an IPL that you can get done at a laser hair removal clinic. This will bring all of your colored blotches, freckles, age spots, sun spots, etc to the surface of your skin (in about 3 days) and then it just all flakes away!! (do not pick it of...just let it wash off naturally). BAM! - I have no freckles anymore, no sun spots, nothing but clear skin. I have also had this done because my mom had skin cancer and this helps kill cancer cells before they grow from sun spots. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who has skin discoloration in their face. I never wear make up anymore...I love my skin! It did cost $350 but I live in Canada and pretty much everything is more expensive here. As well...$350 is worth my confidence and the health of my skin!!

I would say don't wear foundation/powder. Let your skin heal. I have the same problem with pimples. Surely, it's not the same for everyone but I have tried so many different "noncomedogenic, oil-free, hypoallergic" cosmetics and although I never broke out terribly, it did make my skin look a little bad everytime I took it off(and I didn't really notice, people told me). I guess it aggravates it. Aggravation = more time to heal.

Just let your skin be until it's clear.

Well, you should really not put anything on it so you do not clog your pores even more but most people put somehting on it an dthen use a conceller and foundation. When you go to sleep try to use something that helps pimples overnight and remember to wash all makeup off before you go to bed at night.

Flirt! cosmetics at Kohl's has a concealer that has salicylic acid in it to help fight your pimple while you have the concealer on. They have testers at the store so you can try everything you want. For your acne, I would recommend trying a product that fights the breakouts. You can use Neutrogena's Acne three step system, Proactiv, Clean and Clear, etc. Good luck!

They do make makeup that has stuff in it to help your skin heal. I would try switching to that. They also make makeup that prevents pimples. Anything that clogs your pores can cause acne. Keeping your skin clear sometimes means not being as made up as usual.

stop using the makeup and let your face heal it will take some time but will be worth it in the long run try washing your face once a day for awhile so it doesn't dry out on you

I do not see anything wrong with what you are doing. In fact, the products that you are using are decent too. I think you it is related to your hormones and you need to take some medication for it. Go to a drugstore and there are these natural pills for acne that do not have any side effects. Get those and they will get rid of the problem. Good Luck!

I don't wear makeup, but I do notice that women who do wear makeup look worse when their skin has pimples on it. It makes the pimples more noticeable.
