Yes, you will be a happier, more fulfilled person and so will those around you. Just always remember to use finess when expressing yourself and your convictions. Then the other guy walks away with the sense that he has learned something instead of feeling insulted.

Personally, I despise hypocrisy - at least as far as religion. I mean, go to church by all means IF you subscribe to the doctrine and actually live by it. But don't bother if you just go to make others think that you are pious or for the fashion show or for the gossip.
I despise the people who go to church and act pious and then go home and beat their wives and kids or have affairs, etc.
I may not attend services, but you know what, I try hard to have time with God on a daily basis. I treat others as I want to be treated and I try to behave as though my actions make a difference to other people, especially those I love. I want to be remembered not as a holy type, but as someone who did the best she could.

Yes it's best to be frank. You just have to make sure you don't hurt others feelings. Before I speak I make sure I think about what I am going to say. Sometimes it's hard. But I rather be frank and not be fake.

Not alway. Sometimes you cut off your nose to spite your face all in the name of speaking out. You need to see the big picture and where you're trying to go. Then learn how to pick and choose your battles. Sometimes being right at the expense of someone else's feelings or self esteem, makes you wrong.

let's expand for a moment: are you planning to brandish your frank-ness like a sword, to inflict as much reaction and hurt as possible? Do you plan to tell each person that you meet just how fat, bald, short or stupid they are or that their baby is the ugliest baby on the planet? Then no, it's not better to be frank. Please lie. Or remain silent.
