Yes absolutely. It's a sad song, but the end scenario was the man and his son fishing by themselves when his son was eight. I think the point Mr. Mcgraw was trying to make was that we have to let God do His thing........oops!! My bad!! Did she really survive in the video? Cool!!

He never says, I think it is up to the listener. I would think yes, just because of the words and how sad the end of the song is. But other might think differently.
