I just got married and got back from the honeymoon. I want to legally change my last name to his. How do I go about doing this in NJ? I've read about how to do it in other states but NJ is always difficult... anyone know?

TAKE YOUR MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE AND A PIECE OF MAIL WITH THE CORRECT ADDRESS AND NAME TO YOUR LOCAL DMV. SAME THING AT SS OFFICE AND ANYWHERE ELSE YOU WANT IT CHANGED.

I don't know about NJ, but in Maryland all I had to do was take my marriage license down to the DMW (Moter Vehicles) and change my ID. Everything else was easy.
