Pictures on a TV screen are generated by electrons striking on the phosphor coated interior of the screen. Since electrons are deflected by magnetic fields the picture gets distorted when a magnet is brought near the TV screen. Avoid bringing magnets near TV as it may damage it.

The TV also uses a magnetic field to guide the electrons to the screen, so the introduction of another magnetic field causes the electrons to go off course and the picture is distorted.

The picture on the screen is created by a stream of electrons shot by a "gun in the back" of the tv, after the electrons are shot 2 electromagnets, one on top and one un the side of the screen make that stream move around the whole area of the screen, when you put a magnet close to the screen it interfeers with those electromagnets distorting the image

The picture in a conventional television "picture tube" is created by electrons accelerated toward the screen and being deflected in their flight path by electromagnets that sweep out a pattern on a phosphor coated screen. You see the light emitted by the phosphors.

If you bring another magnet nearby, it also changes the electron flight paths... in a way that distorts the resultant picture because the electrons don't reach the correct location on the screen.

The picture is "painted" by an electron beam. Electrons in motion passing through a magnetic field are deflected.

Because the electrons bombarded to the fluorescent screen deflects by the effect of magnetic field created by your magnet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think because the magnet takes out most of its memory.. like you can't put a magnet on your computer or it'll do the same as your tv.. that's just what i heard it'll tae out your memory and mess it up..
