Either we are being asked to do someones homework, or someone is attempting to validate ones information.

Functionalism sounds to me like one would derive intense satisfaction from standing with a piece of paper in ones hand, dropping it, and then building a statistical study based on which side the paper lands face up.... given the wind, condition of the landing surface, whether one side had printing upon it, what was printed, the color of the paper, etc. An entire doctoral thesis could be generated with such nonsense... because there are those whose lives are such that such activity means something to them.

A family has a life impacted by those who make up the family. Each attunes his/her natural inclinations sufficiently to live within the family unit... but, only a small amount of family commonality will remain with a member when that member leaves the family.

Those incapable of comprehending the psychological subtleties driving a person will tend to site those things he/she can see and physically measure as the "CAUSAL" for a persons actions. A persons actions are a combination of environmental expediency, psychological necessity, and usually a practical mixing of the two.

Most scientists are locked within the Left-Hemisphere of their brains for comprehension, which means thinking. And a goodly portion of ones thinking is D-Think, or Delusional Thinking fed to him/her by his/her MIND [WHICH IS NOT ONES BRAIN]. The purpose of D-Think is to insure that ones MIND remains hidden from ones discovery. Unless one stuck in the L-H of ones brain has help to access ones MIND realm, one continues to be linear in thinking and ignorant of the Esoteric realms hidden within oneself.
