Just like a comedy needs to be funny, isn't the point to be scary, sick, creepy, or terrifying?

Sure, every movie should have a good plot, good acting, and decent effects, but overall, shouldn't a horror movie be judged successful based on it's ability to scare, creep out, or make you say "ew?"

I totally agree. The movies now n days don't scare the crap out of me.

omg i so agree with you the "horror" movies they have these days just dont cut it we need MORE GORE!MORE MURDERS MORE MORE MORE LOLand i hate when they cut out the scenes when someone gets murdered!:(thats the whole point in watching the dang movie

american movies don't creep me out or scare me, but Japanese movies do. I love their movies.
