Should I take singing lessons, or would that really annoy me as the saying goes?

You don't have to take singing lessons. If you'd quit singing I could get out of this damn opera!!!! LOL just kidding.

Singing lessons could probably benefit you in respect to the proper way to sing which is through the breath support technique. It's hard to explain without visual demonstration so take the lessons long enough to learn that aspect and then quit if you don't like it.
