It's terible. Dredlocks are for rastafarians. The dredlocks show that you are part of that religion. White people that have dredlocks are posers. My uncle is a rastafarian from Jamaica and me,him, and my whole family takes it as an insult.

It's called Rastafarianism. I'm Rasta, but I don't have dreds. I just like to relate to Christ and a woman when I get stoned. Dreds are cool for some people though.

I think most white people with dread locks look very ill-kempt and goofy. I mean, there are white guys who could make the look work, but those are very, Very few. It's like finding a white guy who doesn't seem like he's over-doing it when he speaks/acts black. Guys, if you do this, just STOP it! You're trying too hard and it's not going to get the ladies all over you. It's just stupid.

I think the same about white people with dreds the same as I think of a person of ANY race with them. They are ugly!

As long as they are neatly done and well taken care of, it's fine with me. And that goes for anyone with dreds or braids.

I knew a girl once with dredlocks, her name was Doreen - she always reminded me of the song 'Scarlet Begonias' - she was one of a kind :) I think some white people can pull it off, I don't think it's a matter of what race someone is to do something so interestingly cool to their hair :)

I think people can do whatever they want to with their hair. It depends on the person & their attitude & confidence what exactly I would think of a person's particular look. But I don't think people should be quick to judge. What means one thing to one person could mean something entirely different to someone else.
