Give her you love and support when you are there. You do not need to give her more then the general things she needs... a few simple toys, clothing, food. Baby's and toddlers really do not know anything about material possessions.

If I understand your question right, you are asking how to make your daughter understand that you are her mother, even though she is in someone else's care because you work full time. My only advice is to spend as much as your home time with her, giving her love and one on one attention. Sit down and play with her, be fun and loving and give lots and lots of kisses and cuddle time as she may not get that from daycare. She will know that you are the one person that is steady in her life and will know that you are her mother.

I worked during the first 7 months of my daughters life. I started worrying if maybe she was bonding more with her babysitter than me, because she was at the babysitter's more waking hours of the day than with me.

Pick her up when she cries. When she is playing, sit nearby, and if you aren't, check on her every 10 minutes just to let her know you are still there.

Read to her every chance you get. Play with her. Always speak in a gentle voice. Babies know their mother's smell and sound of their voice from birth.

She will bond with you much better if you are with her most of the time....If she is in daycare during the day, and someone else takes care of her the rest of the time, obviously she will not bond with you.
