My son was born 2 months early due to my incompetent cervix. He actually broke right through my stitches to come into the world early. Do not fret or worry it will only make this wonderful experience you are about to go through stressful for you. It is perfectly normal for the baby to come early, especially when you have a cervix problem that required stitches. Once the baby gets to a certain weight they tend to put strain on the stitches causing leaking of fluids and an uncomfortable feeling. So everything that you are going through is perfectly normal. No worries. Of course there is one more thing to say...Congratulations to you and your family on this wonderful occasion.

It depends. They say that you are considered full term at 37 weeks and wont stop the baby from coming. I am 38 weeks and at my last 2 appointments have found out that I am already 3 cm dialated, 75-80% thinned out and the baby's already 0 station. But still nothing. Im due the 26th. The baby will be perfectly fine coming out 3 weeks early.

Yes it is. A pregnancy is considered full term at 37 weeks. 9 times out of ten the baby will be fine. My son was born 5 weeks early with no complications.

3 weeks is a little early but not so much as to worry about problems of prematurity. Unless you are certain of your date of conception, a due date is almost always inaccurate by at least a week or so. Your doctor would be trying to delay labor if he was really concerned. Best of luck with your baby!!

Very normal. I have had 3 kids all came early. Congratulations you will be bringing home your baby soon. Make all the final preparations and rest assured it is fine to be just a few weeks early.

These days, 3 weeks early can be normal. The doctor will make sure all the appropriate help will be in the delivery room to make sure your baby gets all the care it needs right away. Good luck.

The baby will be perfectly fine time wise. If your doctor thought it was too early he wouldn't have taken the stiches out. Babies come when they want. Once you are past the 36 week point the baby is considered full term.

My son was born a month early (I had gestational diabetes so they induced) -- he only weighed 5 lbs 9 oz BUT although in "premie" diapers was not considered "premie" because his apgar testing was fine (I think I spelled correctly -- but lungs, etc. -- all else was good). Don't worry -- you'd be surprised what they can do anymore -- babies have come a LOT earlier than that with problems and did JUST FINE.
