I'm talking about the 3 color sunburst one. I have a Telecaster right now, and I love it, but missing out on a chance that comes once every 10 years from my favorite guitar company might bother me for a long time. Is it worth it? Does it play good? I'd prefer people who have actually used it.

It is a beautiful guitar, if you like strats. I have played one in a shop, just to have a go. It sounds great and plays great. Possibly a touch overpriced as it is a special edition.

If you are thinking of buying one, you have to decide why. Is it to play?- you can get better value strats that sound just as good, in my opinion. You may disagree.

Is it to look at? - then as a work of art, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

As an investment? - but that would mean locking it away to preserve it - I could never do that, instruments are meant to be played.

best advice I can give is to try one out. Check the feel and the balance. You love Fenders, so you will either instantly fall in love with it, or be slightly disappointed. Then you will know!

Strats are not my favourite, the position of the selector switch is wrong for my strumming action, so I won't be getting one.
