You probably have to have at least AAS Associates of Science in Information technology/ Computer science or Bachelors, I don't know if they will hire from trade school such as Devry or technical School/Votech in HS.

Yes i think so. Im an IT manager for a Law Firm and have no degree. You can study for instance Microsofts Systems engineer qualifications , MCSE, on the job. Most companies will take on someone with say computer science A leval or even GCSE if your lucky. Aptitude and willingness to study and learn are important.

Defenatly you can just do MCSE you can do that without taking courses you can buy some books and read them and they even have old tests you can study from. If your really good can always lie on your resume. but i dont recomend that. In this field when the shlit hits the fan you better know how to pick it up and pick it up quick.

I took MCSE/CNA and City and Guilds in Hardware. It got me on board.

I think a degree helps, as with most career paths. BUT as they say "it's not what you know, it's WHO you know!"
