Good question, they do it because they want to be higher quality than everyone else, just knock 'em out their boots, show them you're as equal as they are- not below them.

Low self esteem? Sometimes people treat others like they're nothing because they feel low themselves - Or they could just be conceited in which case, they're a waste of space. nobody is better than anyone, different or otherwise - Especially those who think they're better because of money. To me - money means nothing. As long as I have enough to get by I'm content. money can buy a bunch of crap, but it sure as heck can't make a person happy ... that very well might just be the problem. They're unhappy and feel the need to drag you down with them by making you feel inferior. Just - don't let it work.

Nothing to explain, that's why they be called "Snobs". Some people lacking anything in life need to re-enforce their shortcomings at the expense of others. Dog eat dog world. Best thing about snobs are that they are easy to ignore, and that is your best defense against being hurt by them. Want to drive a snob nuts, just shrug off their intimidation's. They are not looking down on others in reality, but looking up to others as a ladder to boost themselves to your level. :)

You can't understand them. If they feel the need to judge other people then they are the ones missing out. Let me get on with it, you can take solace in the knowledge that you have a more enlightened view towards humanity.

society and culture.
house explained it pretty well last week. he said something to the effect of that the skinny privileged white people are in a circle with the other skinny privileged white people and every one in the circle is normal. Every one outside the circle should be banished, beaten and treated poorly until they can join the people in the circle.
does this explain it?

That is a learned trait, from who they grew up with (friends, family etc..)
No one person is better than another - they only think it.
Sad thing is....the ones that think they are better - usually have the MOST skeletons and are the loneliest!
They make themselves feel better by ripping on other people, Finding everyones faults. They are miserable in my eyes....
All I can say...KARAM is a mo-fo....

there is no understanding it. many rich folks think they are entitled to better treatmen than the rest of us. Just remember this one..."If some one is nice to you, but rude to the waitress, they are NOT a nice person"
