And I suppose you asked this in the Fast Food section because you're going to eat a lot on the trip, right?

Well, it depends on where you are going in KY. It depends if you are driving or flying. It depends on if you are driving your own car or renting. It depends on if you are staying in a hotel or with family. It can be done fairly cheaply. My husband travelled to MI from Louisville, KY for a funeral. He rented a car, ate only fast food and stayed in a relatively cheap motel. I think he spent around $200 all told, including gas.

Its going to take around 3 tanks of gas. $90 if your going to drive a car. $120 for a SUV. You can get a Motel for around $50/night. Food, well, depends on how much you eat. I don't eat breakfast or dinner but a healthy lunch for around $10. So, I say you could probably do the trip for under $200. Michigan is a pretty big state so it also depends on how far up you go. May cost ya another tank of gas.
