...should Favre be benched? I think so

The can't start "rebuilding" till they say good bye to Farve. Great competitor and at one time a great quarterback but the guys got to retire. Until they do that they can't really start looking towards the future.

Their defense is in a rebuilding year. Their offense has alot of veterans, so I don't think you can call it "rebuilding".

Favre shouldn't be benched, either, because Aaron Rodgers was only "ok" in the preseason against second and third string defenses. Meanwhile, Favre is still better than over half of the QB's in the league at his age. He's making alot smarter passes this season, although he's had two bad games, his completion percentage is higher. This week against St. Louis was the first smidgen of a running game shown by the Packers, and up until the last play of the game, the line was blocking well.

I'm not sure who called that play, but I saw the blitz a mile away, I guess Brett or the offensive coordinator thought they could beat hte blitz with a short screen. I would have definately ran some sort of draw, spiked, and taken the field goal. The defense was finally stopping St. Louis (it took all game) in the 4th, so even it STL ended up with the ball, GB had a chance.

Believe me, though, Green Bay's woes aren't because of Brett Favre. At least he keeps the Packers in the game for the most part, since they're horrid defense has them down every game.

Packers have been rebuilding the last 3 years, and with Favre leaving next year, give it another 5 years.

The Packers have been in a rebuilding year since 1998. Yes, Favre should retire. He should have retired years ago.

Yes Favre should be benched. The team needs to find out what they have in Aaron Rogers.

A losing year doesn't mean it is a rebuilding year. Favre still gives them the best chance to win, and he plays. I believe you always play your best players

human beings have been asserting that they are rebuilding? final time I checked, communities that made it to the NFC Championship the 12 months till now in many situations weren't in "rebuilding" mode. Yeah, honestly anybody who says that crap basically does not understand what they're talking approximately. i did no longer hear approximately them dropping very many sizable gamers besides Favre. Rodgers has an spectacular offense already in place for him so he could do properly. he's been gazing Favre play for an prolonged time now so as that's basically maximum in all threat made him smarter. Their D is honestly sturdy as properly, so do basically no longer hear to those morons. they're going to compete for the branch with the Vikings through fact the Bears and Lions proceed to suck.
