I'm due to have a C-section on October 27.
I want to go pick my grandmom up so she can be with my after I have the baby, but I heard that I shouldn't go more than 100 miles from my house. Is this true???
I won't be driving my boyfriend will, and I don't want him to go alone his not to sure how to get to her house, and one big thing she only talkes spanish and he only talkes English, its a long ride and I wouldn't want theme to be riding for that long w/out talking.

Its fine. You can ride along with someone. Just make sure you guys leave early so that you have plenty of time for pit stops. Your not supposed to go for more than an hour with out getting up and walking around, I believe. So make sure you stop often and walk around to get the circulation flowing again. I went to MN, which is 7 hours away from where I live, and was fine. Talk to your doctor, if you want accurate information.

Lol...I am 37 weeks pregnant and I am moving on Thursday!!! I am moving to maryland, which is 4 1/2 hours from me!! I live in Pittsburgh. I wanted to get the OK from my doctor first. I mean, she looked at me like "Who the hell does that?!!?" But she did say it was fine. SHe told me to know the hospitals that are around and stuff just in case I go into labor. Just be careful. If you are really concerned then ask your doc what he/she thinks. I am not scheduled for a c-section, so I dont even have a set date on when my daughter will arrive....all I know is it can happen at any time! lol, But I am nervous about the move, as well as excited.

Good Luck...Have a safe trip...And Congrats on the little one!

This is a hard one, however you are scheduled to have a c- section on the 27th, so you have time.

When are you planning on going? It has too be soon.. You should not go of it's the same day or 2 to 3 days before...

I would think it is OK. just make sure you stop every hour or so and stretch your legs. They say that pregnant women are more at risk for blood clots from sitting for too long.

You should be fine. Just make sure you get out and strech every hour or so and make sure you know how to get a hold of your Dr should you need to.

call your dr's office and ask.

My Mom went to see her Mom one month before her due date and I was born a month early.

that was a 9 hour drive.

Yes, as long as you have someone with you I say it's okay to go.
