They cannot. Nor can liberals illustrate that Republicans are Nazis although they try with laughable long winded definitions. It's all part of the ugliness of politics that those of us at yahooanswers apparently enjoy. ;)

Compare what you believe to the precepts the communists believe is proper.... then make your own conclusion...
Things such as high taxes, government in charge of everything, and much more. Do you think corporations are evil.... should the government run businesses... etc...
Mc Carthy was correct about some of them... but not all.... had capitalism followers taken steps to correct social problems before he came along, he would not have had the platform to ruin lives.... he was as bad as what he thought he was fighting against.... we wouldn't be seeing America embracing socialism to the extent it has today.... and that would be a good thing.
I see communist influence on our college campuses when conservative speakers are shouted down or not allowed to speak.... that is the way of the left... destroy all that is against its agenda in any manner possible... don't let anything be seen or heard that might slow or harm that agenda in any way...

Universal health care
higher taxes for the rich than for the poor
open ended welfare programs
never ending support for organized labor
Essentially they are pushing for the government to knock down anyone who works hard to succeed while simultaneously taking away our incentives to achieve. If they have their way, I can quit my job, sit on welfare and have health care and everything I need to survive. Or I can get a union job, get paid better but not do anything because the company can't fire me because of the union protection. Or I can bust my *** get paid the same as a slacker (who can't get fired) and maybe move up in the company. But wait if I do that I will pay higher taxes to support the folks on welfare and while I will pay for my healthcare my neighbors will be covered from my taxes. If that isn't communist , it can only be socialism!

Krushev said the communist would take over the USA from with in the democrat party.
FDR was a socialist and admired Hitler.
Facism is a form of marxism
socialism is a form of marxism
democrats are socialists
