HOME (Montana)The fresh air, the trees and the simplicity of it all. No confusion, no drama, just silence - save for the sounds of wolves howling in the distance, the screech of an elk looking for his mate, the sound of the crickets So dark at night you can see the stars so clearly they look touchable. I miss my horses, riding through trails and the smell of the sweet berries growing wildly along them as the sound of the horse sighing under me reaches my ears. I miss swimming in the crystal clear water. Look into a clear stream that may be 4 ft. in depth and its so clear it appears to only be a few inches deep I miss the dew kissed grass under my feet first thing in the morning. The sound of rolling thunder as a storm approaches and the smell freshness after it passes. I miss watching the deer grazing in a field with their young and watching the humorous ground squirrels frolic on the hills. I miss the smell of hay in the morning, the soft chuckle of chickens and the lulling sound of the cattle awakening as I go about my morning chores. What I wouldnt give to go back and be there now To watch the sun gently kiss the mountaintops in its brilliant colors as it rises and sets while geese fly above making known their presence and passing through. The sound of a stream lulling me to sleep every night. I miss the beautiful roughness of an untouched countryside, the pureness of a freshly snow covered landscape. Yep.
