I think it has to do with inherited genetics. Early African and Asian ancestors would have needed a wider nose to keep them from overheating. Since that would not have been as much a problem with european tribesmen their noses would have been more narrow to keep them from losing heat perhaps. It is why people of european descent generally have thicker body hair. On a side note to all those offended by this question. This question is only as racist as you make it.

Normally blacks and asians live in a hotter country, or not as cold as europeans. So when hot temperature in that country happens, the nose can easily widen it and breath while when u are in cold countries, ur nose will try to cover up from preventing lots of cold air coming in. This oso can be affected by genes and from family and culture.

the warmer it was during the early stages of the game, the wider the noses were....the noses smply didn't need to heat as much air...this meant those who could intake more air would be selected for (they wouldn't tire as quickly running or whatever you did back in those days)
meanwhile in the northen parts of the world, the air needed to be warmer before entering your body (frozen throat blood vessels suck, they burst and it just goes down hill from there, it happens at about -10) so in those parts people were selected for who had narrower noses
at one point on the evolutionary timeline, dpending on where you were, the type of nose you had could've meant the difference between life and death

Europeans have wide noses too,, they have some noises like those of pigs

Not all black people & asians have wide noses... The majority of them do though. Hello, it's called genetics. Most black people are dark skinned, most asians have slanted eyes..

Well it has to do with the race, I am not racist but if you compair other things in general they have some differnece. but that is just how it is! The things that make is differnt is what makes us, well US.. But that stuff dont matter it dont matter if your pink or purple ! if you have big feet or small feet.... It is just how your body is.. and many of this things have to deal with DNA!!!!!!! that is the stuff your body is made of! ^_^

what kinda crap is this? are u for real? i'm mixed race, my parents are mixed race, so were each of their parents, thats what its like in cape town south africa where i'm from, nose shape varies and its really early days scientists who did not have much info to work with, who came up with these primitive stone age ideas that certain people looked a certain way because of their genetic or racial inferiority. ARe you trying to ape that, cause it makes you look like a chimp who'd best crawl back into the jungle mate. lots of blacks and far east asians have varied noses, so do europeans, in my family, i have asian type hair, a "less long pointed noise" than my siblings and i often got teased that i had a "bushman's nose"...it figures that under the apartheid government we grew up (government administered racial segregation) it was best to look as "white" as possible, or be doomed! so these sort of jokes went about but it was just teasing, deep down we knew and still do know that how you look does not make any difference to your intelligence or having a beautiful heart. what of it if some people have wider noses, bill cosby's success wasnt flawed because of his sizeable nose? don king's hair didnt diminish his fame, lucy liu's mousy look didnt hold back her fame, the queen's characteristic brown teeth doesnt make her any less the queen, honey, nor did j'lo's bum stand in the way of her success! are u trying to glorify europeans? tough sh*t to you honey, u look asian yourself (from your avatar...most europeans have doughy, puffy faces and bad teeth. alright?
