depends on if your in high school and your gpa is by class or your in college and its by hours and if your school uses partial points for B+, vs B, vs B- etc. Also some schools give bonus points for advanced or accelerated classes.
But the basic formula is the following:
A=4
B=3
C=2
D=1
Add up your points and divide by the number of classes.
example 3As, 2Bs, 1C = 12+6+2 = 20
20/6 = 3.33

an
A = 4 points
B = 3 points
C = 2 points
D = 1 point
F = 0 points
say you have two A's 1 B and 3 C's.
add....4+4=8
8+3=11
11+2+2+2=17
17 / 6 = 2.8

HOney it's grade point average.
Okay i think for an a it's 4 points
b is 3
c is 2
d is 1
f is 0.
add your point grades for each course and divde them by the number of classes you took.
so say you had grade point of 16 which u had all a's and you have 4 classes. divide the 16 by four and it would be 4... BUt you can always ask your professor or the registrar's office just to get a second opinion.
